About this course

The Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR) Approach to Offender Rehabilitation in Singapore course provides an overview of the principles of Risk, Need and Responsivity in offender rehabilitation.

Through this course, you will gain an understanding of the RNR model which is one of the rehabilitation approaches used by Singapore Prison Service and appreciate the importance of targeting the principles in supporting an offender’s rehabilitation.

Participant who has completed the two graded quizzes and obtained a passing score of 50% will be eligible for Certificate of Participation. The download link to the Certificate will be available under the Progress Tab in the course site.

Goh Guat Tiang has a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Psychology and Master of Social Work. Guat Tiang is a registered social worker with over 14 years of experience in the social service sector. She started her career in the correctional setting both incare and aftercare. Subsequently, she worked with individuals and families in the community setting and provided casework and counselling services. Currently, she is the Programme Head of the Training & Research department at SACA.
